At minus forty degrees, the colonel pushed the female soldier off the ship’s deck straight into the icy ocean, wanting to get rid of his troublesome subordinate… but he had no idea how that act would end.

The colonel stood on the deck with his hands clasped behind his back and calmly watched the raging ocean. The wind cut across his face like knives, the frost reached minus forty degrees, and the icy water beneath the ship looked like a deadly trap for anyone who fell into it.

When the woman’s body disappeared among the waves, a barely noticeable smile appeared on his face.

At that moment, he was convinced the problem had been solved once and for all.

He had been waiting for this day for a long time.
From the very first moment she appeared on the ship, everything began to go wrong. She was new, but far too confident. Too honest. Too principled.

On the very first day, she noticed things others preferred not to see: falsified documents, disappearing supplies, and the colonel’s suspicious dealings during the mission. And worst of all — she reported it to her superiors.

That complaint almost destroyed his career.

FROM THAT MOMENT ON, HE NEVER FORGOT THE INSULT.
He was only waiting for the right moment.

And now it had come.

The ship was far from shore. Communication with land was weak, almost nonexistent. There was no one on deck — the frost took away any desire to go outside, and all around there was only ice, wind, and endless water.

She stood by the railing, unaware that behind her back the decision had already been made.

He approached slowly, almost soundlessly.

One violent movement.

“You wanted justice? Then here it is.”

HER SCREAM WAS IMMEDIATELY CARRIED AWAY BY THE WIND.
And her body plunged into the icy ocean.

Several sailors saw everything.

They were standing nearby. They looked at one another in horror… but no one reacted. Fear of the colonel was stronger. Everyone pretended that nothing had happened.

And he, watching as the waves closed over the woman, was certain that this was the end.

But he was wrong.
The frost did not kill her.

THE PAIN DID NOT BREAK HER.
With enormous effort, fighting against the icy water that paralyzed her body, the woman managed to grab hold of the metal structure along the side of the ship.

Her hands were bleeding. Her fingers were almost no longer working. Every breath felt like a knife being driven into her lungs.

But she kept climbing.

Centimeter by centimeter.

While everyone on board was convinced she was dead… she came back.

And the first thing she did was reach the radio.

Her voice trembled from the cold, but not from fear.

SHE TOLD EVERYTHING.
Every detail.

The next day, as the ship approached the military station, officers from the military police and special services were already waiting on the quay.

The atmosphere on board changed instantly.

The colonel stepped out onto the deck with the same arrogant confidence as always.

But a moment later, he saw something that made his blood run cold.

Her.

Alive.

PALE, WITH BANDAGED HANDS, BUT STANDING IN FRONT OF EVERYONE.
She looked at him calmly.

Without shouting.

Without hatred.
And that was exactly when the colonel understood that his plan had completely fallen apart.

The officers approached him without a word.

In front of the entire crew, they put handcuffs on him.

THE VERY SAME PEOPLE WHO HAD LOOKED AWAY THE DAY BEFORE NOW WATCHED IN SILENCE, UNABLE TO BELIEVE WHAT THEY WERE SEEING.
The colonel had wanted to get rid of the problem.

But in the end… he became the problem.
